Joining the Opus 1 scheme with Britten Sinfonia

In a serendipitous turn of events, I’ll be joining this year’s roster of Britten Sinfonia’s Opus 1 scheme.

This prestigious and competitive scheme offers developing composers an opportunity to work with world-class musicians from the Britten Sinfonia, and especially to experiment with combinations of sounds through their mixed ensembles.

I’m late to the group, but I’m still excited to be working with these musicians during the workshops, trying out ideas, and putting on a concert – plus making a recording!

My work will be called migloje – lietuje (in the fog – in the rain), inspired by the Baltic climate in Lithuania, where I am currently living, as I hear about this marvellous news.

Stay tuned for the concert announcement, and I hope you can come listen to our work!
