I’m very excited that my string quartet out to tolo will be performed in an online concert ‘Music Salon II’ by the world-renowned Mivos Quartet.
The work out to tolo outlines Shing Mun River and Tolo Harbour, where I grew up. It was previously workshopped by the Carducci Quartet at the Vale of Glamorgan festival last September, when I was part of the Peter Reynolds Composers Studio. This will be its first performance, with revisions over the past year, as well as merging with an arrangement of cranes among chickens, last workshopped by Trio Northumbria at the BFE/RMA Research Students Conference early this year. I’m very excited for this piece to enter the public eye for the first time.
The concert will take place online in early 2024. Stay tuned for more details.
