Sounding the Text: Contemporary Music Inspired by Text and Tale

My new piece, Midnight Coasts, for cor anglais, viola, cello, and harp, will be premiered at this concert tonight, which showcases composition researchers and staff at the University of Manchester. My piece is based on the midnight washerwomen in Breton folklore, infused with moonlight on the shores of Brittany.
